Privacy Policy

BlackDog respects your privacy. Our own software captures no personally-identifying information about our players. Having said that, the Minecraft server logs contain player IP addresses which are linked to player userids. The logs also contain operational information that is useful to us for game-play issue resolution and debugging. These data are accessible only to our computer operations staff. The data are not accessible to other players or to in-game admins or ops.

Server logs are deleted on a rotating basis, after seven days. So IP data in server logs are retained for no more than seven days.

The logs are also included in server backups. Server backups are deleted on a rotating basis, after two days. So IP data in server logs contained in backups are retained for no more than two additional days, for a total of nine days.

LUCKYBLOCK is nominally a HARD SURVIVAL world. But depending on what is dropped from lucky blocks, it can turn VERY HARD, very quickly. Many spawned mobs are lethal, as are some spawned structures. You can use walls to hide from attacks, and ponds to give relief from fire.

Starting out

There is no safe zone. You will be provided with rudimentary armor and weapons, and a stack of lucky blocks. You can replenish your armaments and lucky blocks at the signs in the spawn area.

Breaking lucky blocks

Place some lucky blocks. Hit them (repeatedly) to break them (like breaking any block). Tools are not required.

Drops

Drops from broken lucky blocks are completely random. Some are good: weapons and explosives. Some are bad: in particular, some are very strong mobs, difficult to kill. Approximately 75% of drops are good. Approximately 10% of drops are bad. The remainder are just amusing.

Mob attacks

Mobs will attack as soon as they are spawned. Running far enough to escape detection is a good life-saving strategy. Of course, some mobs — such as Wither Skeletons — will chase aggressively.

Explosions

Explosions cause environmental damage in LUCKYBLOCK. Explosion sources include primed TNT and creepers. In addition, other explosives may be obtained from lucky blocks.

Lasers

Once you have gathered some materials, you can trade for a laser with the helper in the spawn area. The laser is a very powerful weapon, so it may be useful against the stronger mobs. In addition to firing at them, you can use the laser to quickly dig holes around them, which may trap them. Naturally, the laser plasma stream will be black.

Resets

LUCKYBLOCK will occasionally be reset to pristine condition. Resets will rebuild areas destroyed by lasers or explosions or digging, remove player-built structures, and remove structures and entities spawned from lucky blocks.
